My work combines a love of plants and a life-long passion for birds. My most satisfying paintings come from the heart and the birds just seem to land on the page of their own accord. I love adding all the detail in each painting. The ones that "painted themselves" with the least amount of conscious effort on my part, are usually the most sought after, showing that inspiration is a truly essential ingredient!

I have spent most of my life in London and the south, but 30 years ago, my family and I were lucky enough to spend seven years in Findhorn, a village on the beautiful Moray Firth coast, in Northern Scotland. In 2004, my husband and I returned to Findhorn and built an eco-house with studios for my work. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and close to RSPB Reserves, my paintings are a pleasure to produce. With so many species to choose from, I am currently focusing on birds found here in North Scotland, but there are always exceptions to this! Please view my gallery pages, visit me in my studio in Findhorn or contact me for details of my exhibtions.
